Ron Blue Wooden Boats

Ron Blue is a wooden boat builder with 35 years of experience in restoration and building many styles of boats. Ron apprenticed in the Chesapeake Bay area with two old school boat builders and went on Boat building with the Hartford community college , Wiley ISD and the Texas Maritime Museum, and for the last five years at the Maritime Museum of Louisiana. Repairing and restoring classic watercraft has been a large part of Ron’s work . From Chris Craft to handmade Piroques- Bringing All boats back to life is a passion. Ron has restored many historic boats and has been part of teambuilding larger ships. These include the Kalmar Nykel tall ship in Delaware. The skipjack “ Sally Ann” in Maryland -the Farley boat “ Tina” in Texas , 4 Chris Craft boats from 34 feet to 18 feet - Two Higgins roundabout boats and a 30’ hacker craft . Also including all the boats built at the Maritime Museum in Louisiana. Ron has built 65 boats.
